Parents stand before the congregation in the morning Worship Service to offer their child to the Lord and to dedicate themselves to rear the child for the glory of God. The church family prays for the family and commits to come alongside the parents through prayer, encouragement, and instruction. A dedication certificate and baby Bible are given to the family. One day each Spring is set aside to celebrate our children, usually, a Sunday morning with special lessons and a gift, culminating in a Sunday event for the whole family.
Fall Festival is a night for the whole family. Boys and girls enjoy booths, rides, petting zoo, blow-up games, food vendors, and live music. Costumes are welcome...no scary ones please! Fall Festival takes place each October. Please check the church website or the church bulletin for the date and time as October approaches.
The Sunday before School starts each year marks our annual Promotion Sunday. Babies through 12th graders move to new classes and meet new teachers. Children receive promotion packets that always include a small gift in the mail the week before this special Sunday.
We love our indoor playground. Many families escape the summer heat by enjoying spending time visiting with each other while their children run and play. Two days in the summer, the Preschool Ministry serves free popsicles to all that come.
All children who enter Kindergarten in August are invited to attend a Welcome Kindergarten party on Sunday morning. A devotion, refreshment, and a new Bible are all part of the party. Parents are invited too.
We love children here at HAFBC. We have shirts for Bible Zone and JAM for sale for $10 each. Several times during each year, we announce KidZone t-shirt day. All leaders and children are invited to wear their shirts that day.
