Assessment
Thank you for your interest in serving. The first step toward discovering your calling is to discern how God has designed you (i.e., your strengths and passions). Once you know your unique God-given design, you can take serious steps to serve as He intended.
To help you accomplish these steps, we have partnered with Serving Central Ministries so you can assess your God-given strengths and passions online and start expressing them in ministry here. This unique opportunity will take approximately 20-30 minutes, yet it could result in eternal benefits for you and those you serve.

After completing your assessment, you will have the opportunity to immediately view your results. You will also have other options in the tab section. Clicking on "Ministry Coaching" or "Ministry Matcher" or "Ministry Explorer" will provide opportunities to contact us for follow-up. We would love to hear from you and see what God is up to and how we can help you find that unique place to serve!
Please know Serving Central Ministries serves many different denominations with various views of spiritual gifts. As you will see, some questions pertain to the “sign gifts” (tongues, interpretation of tongues, miracles, and healings). These gifts caused confusion in the Corinthian church and continue to receive more than their share of attention even today. As you answer assessment questions please know HAFBC is not endorsing the edification of these gifts.
SPECIAL AUGUST OPPORTUNITY – BETTER TOGETHER IN SERVICE
Attend a Sunday morning LifeGroup this month for a special opportunity to understand God’s purpose for your life. Find a LifeGroup http://www.hafbc.com/ministries/adults/. They will be providing opportunities for you to discover how you have been uniquely created to serve the purposes of the church. This will be done through three special LifeGroup lessons.
- August 1 – Why Serve
- August 8 – Shaped to Serve
- August 15 – Going to Serve
This will be followed up on Sunday night, August 15, with a special training event called “Preparing to Serve.” It begins at 4 p.m. in the Worship Center. You are invited to attend. You can expect to receive detailed information regarding your spiritual gifts and what ministries would best match your S.H.A.P.E. Childcare will be provided.
